Política discriminatoria
Aunque la constitución de China consagra la igualdad de género, la discriminación sigue siendo generalizada, según los analistas.
La política de jubilación actual exige que las funcionarias públicas dejen de trabajar hasta 10 años antes que los hombres. Para los empleados del gobierno, incluidos los de las empresas estatales, la edad obligatoria de jubilación para los hombres es de 60 años, mientras que las mujeres se jubilan a los 50 o 55.
Algunos expertos sostienen que esta brecha de edad perpetúa las percepciones de que las mujeres no pueden siempre y cuando los hombres y desanima a los empleadores de contratar mujeres para puestos a largo plazo.

Baijiu culture
